Anyone Ever Heard Of Eaton Magazines?

I hadn't, until I laid hands on a few.

Translucent polymer, so rounds are easy to see.

I can see that they are cut for both the AR15 and AR180 rifles, and I'm told they will also work in the FN-FNC and Daewoo K-1 rifles.

Are these collectible? Valuable? Reliable?

    Interesting. I found an 'Eaton Tactical' that does holsters and custom foam cut outs for gun cases,but no magazines.

    Did find a old eaton clear drum magazine for a 10/22 going for $90 somewhere else. Now I too am curious.

    Seems they were the hot item of the 80's,,but were copied and replaced by such as butler creek,pro mag,ect., who also made their magazines with steel lips instead of the original plastic of eaton.
    Value,collectability?? Still not certain.

    I remember them from way back-1980's... They made the factory 25 round magazines for the AMT Lightning ( 10/22 copy in stainless)..Really poor quality.. They were soft plastic, including the feed lips..Not familiar with the other mags they made..The company changed hands a couple of times, but they always seemed low end..Didn't sell any cause no one wanted them, at least their 10/22 model..Factory Ruger, Ramline, and Butler Creek had that market..Never bothered to look at any other of their models..I could see someone wanting one of the 25 rounders for an original Lightning, but that's about it..

    Yes, recall ones made for the AMT Lighting rifle in stainless steel ... similar to the Ruger 10/22. IIRC they also made a 50 round drum magazine for the same rifle. I've used them and they seemed to function fine.

    I wonder if they were made by Eaton, which currently manufactures electrical load centers & other related products. They do a lot of cutting & forming of sheet metal, which isn't a big stretch to magazines.

    Earlier post correction: The 50 round drum magazine was NOT made by Eaton.

    I pulled mine out of the back of the safe and the name imprinted on the original box is "Sanford 50" and on the side of the box it states "Made by AMT"

    I couldn't find my Eaton plastic magazine in the box for the AMT Lightning 25/22 rifle to check mfg address, if on the box.

    Most likely yes they were made by Eaton Electric.. Eaton is big into lots of things, just as GE is.
    I have even heard GE makes an electric gatlin gun for the army . :D

    Eaton made many different magazines.
    I've had the metal Walther PPK series, S&W 39, Colt 1911, all nice looking. And the plastic 10-22 magazines
    Last new ones we got was from 1990's. I suppose the 1994 ban caused them to drop magazines.
