500 S&W chest holster?
I am currently using my Uncle Mikes shoulder holster for the 6.5 inch X-frame 500 S&W. It rides well, but very difficult to draw. Anyone have any recommendations for a good chest holster? The DeSantis Mamba looks like a decent rig. Any insight much appreciated. Don

The DeSantis one is very good quality I don't know if they do one for the 6.5 barrel my 500 has the 8 3/8 I got one from Protect because I scoped it they're not bad for the price just call them on barrel size and if scoped or not0 -
If it's not scoped Diamond D makes a nice leather one.

I would want a retention device like a thumb break. As wide as possible area over the shoulder to distribute the weight. A speed loader container above the pistol would be ok, especially if removable. I would make one along the diamond d design.
My favorite shoulder rig for the 1911 was a Safariland. Loved the front sight track. I cut the exact pattern shoulder pieces out of a thinned soft tanned buffalo leather before I sold the pistol and holster.
I have 3 of the Uncle Mikes shoulder rigs for my 10 5/8" 29's. I can pull them easy enough cross draw. One of these days I rip 2 apart and sew them back together to make a brace carry unit and still have a single carry option under the left arm. Nylon isn't my favorite holster material.

Diamond D...my bil has one for his long slide Glock 10mm and it?s awesome. Also the Galco Kodiak would be great. 0
