Plumbing a home

Picked up another bargain foreclosure house . Been underneath it this morning doing all new CVPC water lines. Amazing how people rig up stuff before just to get it to work. I rip out everything and start new. Tomorrow up stairs to do the water heater and faucets.

    I re-did all our plumbing a few years ago with PEX.So far so good

    We ripped that garbage OUT of houses. The cheapest, shortest lasting pipe there is.

    I have used CVPC for decades and never had an issue aside maybe a burst pipe that was exposed to the elements and froze. The burst strength far exceeds that thin wall plex.

    I have used cpvc myself and have pipes that are 30 plus years old with no issues. Put it in my home I built in 1996 and have never had an issue.

    I have used a lot of pvc pipe and never had a problem.
    But hired a plumber to do the work on my addition three years ago and he used pex exclusively. He said it is the way to go.


    What do I know I am a log builder not a plumber.

    yepper lake house we put in all NEW from the meter to the faucets, shower, ALLL..of it ...all new wiring, roof interior etc .....now if i can just get the bozo co-op to deliver my PREPAID PROPANE before the tank is dry ...life will be good...i am 200 miles away and last winter they let it run dry(lucky no damage)and are trying to this winter....seem to be trying to see how low they can go instead of keeping it FULL).....NEVER have run into this chit before and also prepay the REA and water district there for these 15 years ?????? prepay here at home and used to buy and pay for diesel in semi load lots , same with liquid fertilizer.........gettin irritable in my old age
