Need to make a new gun decision
So I had been planning on an upgrade in April-ish of my current race gun, a Gen3 Glock 34 that has served me well for a few years, but greener pastures and all of that right...
No matter what, Im staying in 9mm minor USPSA as my go-to division.
I had pretty much settled on buying the STI DVC Open. This is a 2011 frame gun that does everything I could ask and comes in around $4,000
Well a DFW local FFL announced he?s getting a CZ Parrot on Monday. This is the absolute top of the line race gun from CZ- he will sell it for $4000 the story goes they build 10 a year and import only 5 to the US per year, but who knows. I will say they are very rare no doubt, the next step down being the Czechmate which is no slouch.
The Parrot can be configured to shoot Open division or Production where the STI might cost another $1000 to change over to production legal
If I dont act on the Parrot and buy it before it hits the dealer it will he gone. So I figure I have a day or so to decide, but moving to Orlando Im just shooting less, as im not really settled in yet.
And last but not least- its really only guys running not-Glocks insisting my current Glock is ?holding me back?, and almost everyone has a ?I shot a glock for years....? story.
Any opinions on an actual gun topic guys?

In my very humble opinion if you want a new pistola then by all means jump on it @nd it sounds like you want the CZ. If they really only bringing five a year you can probably make money if you don?t like it. If you are wondering if you will shoot better with a gun other than your G34, are you out shooting the Glock?? Have you tried a high dollar metal gun?? Did you shoot better with it?? When I changed from a Ruger Government Model Pistol to a High Standard 10X I absolutely shot better. I was outshooting the Ruger and was able to use the superior accuracy of the 10X. I think you should buy the pretty commie pistol. 0 -
