S&W Factory Box Question
hello, I'm currently selling a model 19 that was made in 1984-85 according to S&W. can anyone tell me when S&W changed from the 2 piece blue box to the folding cardboard boxes! and were all of these considered combat masterpieces? if not, what makes them so? thanks

I thought they were the Combat Magnum.

According to SCSW, there was a overlap of boxes, during the mid 80's time frame. They date the 2 piece box. Between 1966-1985. One piece 1983-1997.
I was also under the impression that the Combat Masterpiece. Was the 38 Special. Pre Model 15, before 1957. Than Model 15, until the end of production. In the late 90's.0 -
The Model 15 4" is the Combat Masterpiece and all barrel lenths of the M-19 and M-66 are Combat Magnums, the M-66 being stainless. 0 -
