Sad News -

Just heard from my next door neighbor/Buddy. The Loach Pilot who was doing the very dangerous tree trimming work around my house/road.

"Who had crashed four Choppers, doing it."

Crashed and died on impact, a week or so ago. [:(]

Having been up in a multitude of Choppers, (including much time in Loaches.) Observing what he was doing, and how low to the ground he was doing it, I said, "No way in Hell."


Vietnam Vet. Sorry for your departure Brother. One brave MOFO.

When I observed what he was doing, on a day to day basis, I knew it was only a matter of time.


Very sorry to see of his premature departure. [V]

    But maybe it's just like you said, "only a matter of time."
    Sounds as if he was at least doing what he loved.

    He had had a few beers with my Buds, and had indicated that very sentiment.

    "Loved it," and said he would "die doing what he loved." Too soon, a good Man, lost.

    Would hover 100-150' off the deck, dangling a 30-40' Chain saw. Maneuvering/cutting.

    Crazy. Waved to him/gave him the thumbs up several days while observing him off my back deck.

    Just Crazy.

    He was on our road, for about 30-45 days easy. One brave MOFO.

    Sorry to hear of his passing.
