ID this Hammer and Trigger Guard

    The hammer looks 1911ish but stirrup is wrong. Trigger guard could be Remington ADL. Hard to tell as the pic are really large on my screen.

    The hammer is from a Star pistol, Which particular one, I don't know. They started using that set-up, in the early 20's. And was still being used, as late as the Colt and Iver Johnson Ponies. from the 70's.

    I think Rufe called it...

    Not an A or a B model or super but one of the post war full size stars for sure based on the architecture

    I pulled out a few Star semiautomatic pistols and field stripped them to compare and his assertion seems correct
