I moved from I.E. to Chrome. New questions.

What have I done?! I have my homepage and things look familiar but I no longer can click the star on the top right of my screen and have the option of pinning my favorites to stay on the left side of my screen. Also, I logged onto to Gun Broker but can't attach it with an icon on my home page. Maybe I'm just too old to be working with computers. Thanks for any help guys.

    In my chrome browser, the star is the last thing on the line with the web address. clicking on it sends that address to bookmarks.

    You are tracked every key stroke. Get Firefox, Ad Blocker Plus, uBlock and turn on all the DO NOT TRACK apps you can.

    Jeff~ I'm also a Firefox fan,but to answer your question-

    Chrome does not have a Bookmark/Favorite sidebar..You'll need to install an extension..No recommendations, sorry..

    I don't remember all that???

    My chrome has right under the back/forward/reload / address space,
    a row that says apps, then 6 shortcuts to my most used web pages, then 2 little arrows far right. click on those small arrows and a list of bookmarks drops down to click on.

    Not sure what you're not remembering..The red above is your Bookmark tool bar..Just thought Jeff might like to see how it works, and be edited..Also, it might not be showing on his..He's missing the full left hand SIDEBAR, which is a full-view Menu pane-and that's not native in Chrome..

    I haven't used IE on my personal computer for years. I have no choice with my work computer.

    btw still using XP Pro, although I suspect I'll have a hard time finding someone to build another one that can use it if/when this one is no more.

    OK, with much effort I am back with I.E. from Chrome. I have downloaded Foxfire but don't have it active yet. Perhaps what I want doesn't exist. I have an extensive "favorites" bar on I.E. developed over years. I have probably 100 items all in various folders denoting topics. I suspect now that I can't just transfer them but enter one by one to any new browser. Am I correct?

    During installation, Firefox will ask you if you want to import bookmarks from other browsers you have installed..Select IE..That should do it.. If you miss that step, and Firefox is installed, follow this..

    Remember, Firefox is only copying these- IE doesn't change..
