Medicare Supplement...

I have pretty good insurance with B & D Supplements ,but no dental or eye coverage...Is there another supplement which would cover those and II hear that some also cover co?pays....$20 for Dr. visits and prescriptions are also co-pays of $10 to $30...
If there is coverage like I want to cover everything wha would I contact and what may I expect to pay additional above what I pay now ???

    HMO's PPO's may cover you with some dental and vision but it only a small amount, if you have serious dental problems then your out of luck. Replacing one tooth with an implant is 3000 up front.Pulling all your bad teeth and getting false teeth dentures is over 20,000 for upper amd lower replacement.

    Let's back up a minute.

    Your insurance is 1) Medicare Part A (hospitalization), & 2) Medicare Part B (doctor & outpatient). They will cover a lot of your expenses, but still leave a potentially big bills for you due to co-pays, deductibles, & exclusions.

    To cover that gap, a lot of folks buy supplemental insurance which covers the rest (but generally NOT vision or dental). You may be able to buy that through your employer (cheapest), or else you pay market price for an individual policy.

    As serf said, most of the individual policies that "cover" vision & dental are almost all worthless.

    And, Medicare Part D is basically a scam. If you need a HUGE amount of prescription drugs, that will save you, at best, 20%. Since we start off paying 20-40% more than The World price for drugs, that's little comfort; you may save 20% shopping for your drugs at Costco.

    The only people who don't worry (& keep their identity secret from us) are those with "Cadillac" health plans that pay everything. These are auto industry, investment business, Hollywood actors & staff.

    If Dentures are 20K somebody must be paying for it because most of the staff in the housekeeping department have them and they sure as hell don't have 20K to pay for them,

    saying dentures cost $20,000 is like saying a grille for the front of a car costs $300.
    Some cars cost $49 and some cost $ 21,000.
