I was wondering how a wormy, dope smoking,tree hugging, candy ass from Colorado killed a mountain lion with his bare hands.

    It wasn't much more than a kitten. The DOW has trapped and relocated two more little guys in that area since then.

    The article I read said the cat was a kitten but 80 pounds that is a big kitten. Either a different event or more CNN journalism

    I watched the news conference where he tells his story on stage with fish and game officers and wildlife experts and park rangers

    They said 38 lbs - Lester Holt did the story on the news and said 40 lbs...

    I have always worried that some of you guys might get hurt by desperate cougars or sick pussy...

    Had the cat been a healthy adult, his 15 minutes of fame might have been as a portrait on a tripod. Of course that would be true of any unarmed human including those from Alabama.[:)]

    Heck a southern boy would have cooked it and ate it and be wearing it's skin as a hat with narry a scratch on him...

    And rendered down it's fat to later use to fry up some back bacon in grannies cast iron skillet...

    Washed it down with some shine from a ball Mason jar and the law would never be the wiser

    We have a 15# Maine Coon Cat. Very gentle and loving except when the kids bring over their 2 dogs. Dogs have learned to stay clear. Now they all get along just fine[;)]
