Over 20 years of carrying 6 days a week - I tried them all in every size and shape and caliber and configuration from every COO and time period from Rollin White forward

This size and shape made the best livable daily use every day all day carry piece

And it was there for me when 3 hood rats with pistols tried to rob the gunshop - saved my life that day

Just my humble opinion - which many disagree with

    They are really something special!
I was buying H&R's over the last 35 years back when they were 100-125.00.
I have probably 30-35 of them and really enjoy them. The Sportsman and 999's are highly underrated quality guns! Some of their target guns were and are first class. Some of their others like the Trapper, Hunter, Expert, etc can be a little "dainty or fragile", but still damn nice and very cool little guns!
