The reaction to the story is more important than the story.
People from all points left were quick to vociferously point out the evil that occurred and how the racist and homophobic views of our President are responsible for this action.
What is important about this?
Firstly, there is nothing in Trump's recent history that suggests racism or homophobia.
Secondly, these leftists are quick to quip not because they are believing the best in the Smollett character, rather they are quick to quip because they want to believe the worst in anyone remotely associated with or supporting our President.
They rush to green rooms around the nation to decry and vilify in the most hateful manner a racism and homophobia they alone manufactured.
