fox news reports white house says trump is going to sign funding bill to avoid shutdown but at same time declare national emergency, hope im wrong but have a dreaded feeling this will come back to bite us in the ass really bad when a democrat gets back in as president, pelosi already just stated in a news conference that it will set a precident and just think what a democrat president can do to moral problems with a national emergency, ie our guns

from what I hear they are all ready planning a lot of court orders to stop it along with he is only allowed XX amount of money ( way less than what is needed ) then congress has to approve funding past that amount and they have stated they will not give one dollar for a wall
more of the same old same old Trump makes a ruling and the courts shoot it down or stall it out
they are saying it will be dragged out in the courts thru 2020 at least
what pisses me off the government passes countless laws and infringements on gun owners I do not see any judge blocking any law0 -
This is a stunt to try and keep his base happy after he signs the bill and doesn't shut the government down again like he said he would if he didn't get funding.

A republican congressman was just on Fox saying Trump shouldn't sign it. He said there are specific provisions in that bill that bar the building of a wall in specific areas of government property which happen to be the areas of highest illegal border crossings. The Dems are intentionally protecting these invaders.[V] 0 -
Presidents call national emergencies ALL THE TIME, floods, hurricanes, forest fires who knows what..
There are 30 active emergencies on the books now.
If Trump does declare a national emergency, his would not be the only one; there are currently 31 other national emergencies still in effect. According to ABC News, presidents have declared a total of 58 national emergencies since the National Emergencies Act (NEA) was first signed into law in 1976.

No problem with the last 30 National Emergencies. The last 30 were probably no where close to the number of people killed and loss of life through violence, murders and drugs attributed to the border being "porous". OH,, National Sovereignty,, that's a big issue don't you think.

cannot fathom WHY so many do not want to protect our borders from enemies, unknown, drugs, disease, millions of poverty stricken..all who expect FREE everything when they get here...i get why democraps do but not joe blow who will watch his money siphoned off, his neighborhood dissolve into a slum, and the added possibility his family could be a victim of increased violence....and many jobs lost to cheaper labor subsidized by his tax money...????????? i would vote with ANY party to prevent this from happening 0 -

It does not matter what Trump does. Good, bad or indifferent. He will be viciously attacked and opposition every means possible will be used to counter him. I hope he does declare a national emergency and fix the border.

If a President declare a National Emergency on private firearm ownership, it will be martial law and a suspension of the Bill of Rights. There will be a protest not seen here since the Boston Tea Party. They have no idea what they are up against. 0 -

I would say failure to control access across the border is indeed a emergency. At least as much so as when we had machine gunners at every Airport and needed to frisk American citizens but allowed towel heads to ride a golf car to the terminal without being checked for fear of offending them. 0 -
He should forget the National emergency for a while and sign an order that all Federal Government agencies cut their budget by 10% and use the money for the wall, barrier, fence or what ever else you want to call it.
Do you know how many people work for the government???????????
