Borgasm on BBC America
OK, I confess to enjoying Star Trek the Next Generation and Star Trek Voyager.
This coming Monday and Tuesday, BBC America is running a marathon of the two series consisting of episodes that include interactions with The Borg.
Always enjoyed the Borg interaction episodes. Who can forget the slaughter at Wolf 59 and the subsequent battle to the death for the preservation of planet Earth?
Likewise the interactions in the Delta quadrant on Voyager offer interesting twists, and I do confess to having had a certain fascination with 7 of 9's, um, implants.
The violation of the Temporal Prime Directive in the series finale raises philosophical and moral concerns that are significant to us today as we face forced assimilation by a collective that many of us would just as soon see banished to the wastelands of history.
I am a little embarrassed at the child-like enjoyment I get from these shows, but if any of you are of a like mindset, the Borgasm takes the better part of this coming Monday and Tuesday.
Disclaimer: BBC America calls it a Smorgas-Borg or something to that effect. Seemed a little pedestrian to me.

Grew up watching the original star trek.
Still think it was the best of all of them.
But the Borg shows are good in the later series.
