I wouldn't mind having that Luger. But then I'm sure it's going to go too high...Not higher than what it's worth (although I hope it does for both you and Perry), I just don't like wrapping up that kind of money in a firearm. I would just make it a safe Queen and never fire it, and what's the fun in that...

Kasey, the sneak-in-and-bid-early password you gave me didn't work so I could not pre-bid on the Bearcat.

    Wow...

    I only made the president's 100 twice...

10 times is insane - I am not worthy.

Makes me look like a duffer.

I put the .38 on my watch list. Watch is all I'll most likely be able to do. It'll probably sell well.

    I won't buy that Luger.

It doesn't have a safety that says "safe" and "fire".[;)][:0]

    {Way to go Perry Shooter, the best guns, from the best shooter}

Starting tonight....just a few of Perry Shooter's firearms.

These are nice, but they are just a small part of his items and the more special items will be coming up soon. I have a short work week this week, so I do not have my usual number of auctions starting. I thought I'd get a few of his going that didn't require the expertise some of the others will require. The things that take more attention to detail will be coming soon.

    Smith Transition 38/44 Outdoorsman 38spl

As always....any input or corrections I need to make are always appreciated. This set does not give an accurate representation of what is to come. I am very excited for the gun collecting community as a whole because the items in upcoming sales will be things that people search their lifetime trying to find.

Don't know if I'll get it but will bid on the Outdoorsman. Will be a nice match to my 5" fixed sight transition. BTW, I bounced a couple e-mails to Karl a few years back, pretty sure those are the grips I sent him.

I looked at several of the ones listed and liked them all. I'm sure all with quickly go out of my price range. Great write-up on Perry Shooter. I'm sure he will do well on these.

Incredible items that have been collected and cared for and curated by a great man - the very fact that they were under his stewardship adds cache and value and gravitas to them

I checked last night and the Smith .38 had barely got started and was already almost $800. Like I said, I'll most likely just watch.

A few of those were added to my watch list.
This start really has wet my appetite! I can't wait to see what else is coming!!
My heart breaks for you, Karl. I hope they can figure something out for your wrist....Ed
