I had to buy another one...
Been packing a Ruger EC9s for about 5 months and I like it a lot. Well, Academy had them on sale this week for $250 and I thought I might like to have a back up. Then today I got a paycheck for my PT gig and a check for a stock dividend and I took that as a sign.
I have purchased 6 brand new guns in the last year or so which is most unusual for me. I'm mostly into the older stuff. I didn't buy that many new guns in the previous 30 years.

Lol just what you need is a back up to your back up
I get it though.

Glad you like it. I don't consider them a fighting handgun but to each our own. 0 -
Ruger has served us well,, 0 -
Wow that's a lot of money for one. I just bought my daughter one for Christmas and it was $219 + tax and it wasn't on sale...
They are nice guns, and I'm thinking about getting myself one...0 -

Of course they're not fighting guns, their self defense guns and serves their purpose nicely... Plus they're not so small that you can't enjoy taking them to the range...0 -

Who has ever called it a "fighting" handgun? It's not supposed to be.
Good on ya, Doc. I don't particularly care for them but it's always nice to make a new purchase. Funny, as a contrast to you I usually buy new handguns, but this year so far I've purchased half a dozen old guns!0 -
I bought a rubber Hoague stretch grip for mine, makes it more manageable. 0 -
Cant go wrong with Ruger... 0 -
I thought 250 was a pretty fair price. I have seen any at 219 or any less than 250 for that matter. Can't get one that cheaply off the auction side. O well, I overpaid by a lot more than $30 many time.
By backup I mean a spare. I don't carry two guns simultaneously.
Yeah, not a fighting handgun, a personal self defense weapon.
