Apple charging cables.
Seems like I have to but new charging cables for my iPhone and iPad damn near every month. I just tried two 6 foot braided cables and they both are bad now. I just paid $25.00 for one 6 foot cable made in England and it looks pretty good. Time will tell.

With all the technology we have on this globe you would think a charging cable would be as universal as a USB cable, but no, they all have crap charging cables and charge two arms a three legs to buy a new one. 0 -
It's Apple, what did you expect? 0 -
Stop buying Apple products. They are the most anti-consumer company there is. Horrible crap products, made to fail, and made to NOT be repairable.

Yep - feels like they design that in... I've got a pile of once good - now bad - charging cables.
I think that this pad and iPhone will be my last. Next will be something else...0 -
I have never had a cable go bad 0 -
We have two iPads and two iPhones; we've never had an issue with any of Apples chargers or cables. 0 -
I would imagine, like android products, you need to buy cables made buy quality manufacturers. Samsung micro usb cables are great...but the ones from 7/11 are not that great.
I bet the same concept applies to apple.0 -

+1 on Samsung chargers. I use Samsung chargers on all my electronics.
Never had an apple product and don't spose I'll start now.0 -
I have a TracFone and the cable has never failed. 0 -
I recycle electronics for a living. Cables go bad no matter what the brand. Mac is no worse/better than any of the other cables as they are all made by the same supplier. 0 -
Gunsnpaints,
You might know the answer to a question I've got.
Sometimes, when using 7/11 type chargers, my devices would give me a "slow charging" message.
Crappy cable?
Too small of a converter?
Never with a Samsung charger, so that's why I prefer them.0
