If they actually did receive the money to complete the whole system, and don't complete it. They're liable to pay back the money to the federal government. If they don't pay it back, it's fraud. Because they were supposed to complete the whole project to receive the money... I see if they did receive the money to complete the whole project, prosecute them

High speed rail is a libtard pipe dream.

In Europe it works but in America with the distances its stupid.

These dumbazzes like AOC have no idea what America needs, They are just spouting slogans like the pinko commies they are.

quote: Gov. Brown continued to defend the high-speed rail project.
But of course he did, his new mansion is completed.
quote:He said the state would not send $3.5 billion back to the federal government to be spent by President Donald Trump.
That money was already looted before Trump took office. If the corruption in Sacramento was ever investigated, it would make Chicago look like a convent.
Now let's see what Gruesom Newsome is going to do about all the prime valley farmland that had to be sold to the state with the Eminent Domain laws. Maybe a tax increase to pay off all the Chinese contracts that were going to build it? This state is so borked.

After four-4 year terms in office, Jerry Jr. had no legacy project to paste his name on. Nothing, nada, zip.

His dad "Pat" Brown has his name on the aqueducts that criss-cross the State and will forever be linked with his huge fiscal push that made the UC system into the best public university system in the world.

Jerry jr pushed this phony choo-choo fallacy to have his name on a legacy item like pops has, but instead it's more like "stonedhedge". Nothing but bunch of concrete pillars and a train track that doesn't even cover the route of the Ol' Cannonball running between Hooterville and Pixley. [xx(]

If the moron had built another lane up and down I-5 between Stockton and the 99/I-5 split he would be a hero.

Yeah, it will be an interesting fight, if a state takes funds directed for a specific purpose, and directs those fund elsewhere with out the Feds permission, it's call misappropriation. Folks end up in Federal prison for those decisions.

With the money CA spends on free subsistence for illegals, they could build a rail to the moon.

Now the new governor is yapping about "country with in a country" crap. Like the new idiot is going to wall California from the rest of the US. My state will be name changing to Nuevo Norte Mexico. Then that idiot will run for the Gringo House. With luck I'll be dead by then.
