Worked with some English Engineers 20 years ago and it SUCKED back then, my guess it's beyond saving right now.
England leaving the E.U. (Brexit) looks like it won't happen. England lost their country and not a shot was fired,, or not many anyway.
Good news is the "Nationalist/Populist" (conservative) movement in the E.U. has gained in popularity. In some cases the conservative parties have allied and now control the the country. The "center left" groups have all but disappeared and moved to the Nationalist Populist parties.
No second amendment and free speech,, then when a E.U. "state" fails that state will be under the thumb of the "powers" with no way to get out short of a National Suicide.
Despite these laws, the E.U. countries are making a sharp turn to the right.

An unknown person (wearing a Trump hat in the grocery store) and I got in to a discussion in line a couple days ago. He commented that most Americans should live in another Country for a couple years.
I commented that I had, and relayed my background. (Dad 32 year Lifer Army Airborne CSM) 5 years in myself.
Lived in Germany (Ider Oberstein, Germany [Black Forest] and Strasburg, France [French Alps.]) 3 years each.
We were discussing the situation, and he commented on the fact that there was no Miranda in Europe either. (Much less, the right to keep and bear Arms.)
We were discussing that Europe had given away their Countriesm via unregulated immigration, and that they were leaning hard Socialist.
The Younger Female Cashier was/had been listening. She commented that she had never Voted, but felt that she would vote for Trump in the next Election. [:D]0 -
neither does Canada...or anywhere else in the word... 0 -
