I have a nice Walnut one my In Laws bought for me over 20 years ago.
I have some of my nicer Browning Superposed Shotguns and other "Center Pieces" to my collection in my locked and alarmed den.
It's an eight gun cabinet, but I manage to display 11 in it!

Yes. But when I got it times were different...

Been thinking about buying a safe though now that I know there are people like you in this world[;)][;)]

In high school my son built himself a really gorgeous wood gun cabinet with glass doors and an elk scenery on the glass. With a glass lower section for pistols...

He too is thinking about getting a gun safe after I told him about you[;)][;)]

Yes, I have a 10 long gun cabinet with glass front and bottom storage with locking doors. Used it for rifles and shotguns back around 25 years ago but when I bought my Liberty gun safe, I started using the wooden cabinet to store VHS tapes and then later DVD's then on to blue ray discs.

You can stack a lot of them things in there and can see all of the titles through the glass door![:)]

I have one similar to the one you describe. Good friend left it to me when he died 20 years ago. I keep guns I use frequently in it. I like it.

I had one in 1982 when my house got broken into. Didn?t have many guns, but they got my dad?s 1911 U.S. Navy.
Insurance company gave me $400 for it. It would be worth several thousand today.[V]

In the old days I used gun cabinets but when the threat of traveling hood-rats got to be a problem I started keeping my guns in a safe.

I measured and had glass shelves cut for mine and use them for my old Mitchell fishing reels, etc.

It is very sad that a man cannot keep his treasures on display in such beautiful wooden cabinets in this day and age!

Well, of coarse he still can but the chances he'll become another statistic of crime are so much greater.[V]

Growing up in Spotsylvania Virginia quite a few of our neighbors had long guns "locked" in a glass case cabinet.

I guess the point was a child couldn't get to them and anyone else did grandpa would tan their ass for them unless allowed.

Crooks in the house? Never happened back then.

remingtonoaks you have to keep both eyes on me because i am sneaky. LOL In my younger days i was sneaky fast. When i was in school only 1 person was faster than me.

However i will not take anything thats not mine.[:)]

Smitty500mag They are beautiful cabinets and thats a great idea about fishing poles and reels that i never thought of. Thats a great way to get them in the house.[:0]

My wife has told me that i can not have anymore safes in the house or more space. I have 5 and she says that is to many that i mess up the flow of the house.[xx(]

So now i have space for about 1 rifle and 2 or 3 pistols. After that my closet will get the overflow.

However i have a safe in my shop but i do not have any guns in it because its not tempature controlled. In NC humidity is a real problem.[:(]

I have a Amish built oak gun cabinet That I keep my guns in. I live in a low crime area and my neighbors don't lock their doors and leave the keys in cars in the driveway. I caught a guy in my wife's car one time he was on the lawn with a shotgun barrel in his ear when the police got here.
