Now, we're naming winter storms?

    Dude it's the Polar Vortex. What's with the Mexican names? They should be Viking or at the very least Santa's reindeer names [:D].

    We had a named winter storm back on December 12, 2018.
    Problem was, it wasn?t winter, yet.

    WHO is the bozo that gets to name storms ?????? i remember a storm on Sept 10, 1973 that dumped 14" of rain in a day here...unreal for this area...but no name

    I think Al Gore does it for 21 million a year. Pretty taxing job.

    If We're going to be naming winter storms, it needs to be a name that reminds us of something really cold.... Like Hillary Clinton, Maxine Waters, Nancy pelosi...

    If you just noticed this, you've been in a coma for several years.

    They started this because it was divisive and hurtful to not give winter storms names. They didn't want winter storms to feel less fulfilled or valuable than tropical storms. It's in the spirit of equality and diversity, don'tcha know?

    Next, they'll hand out Participation Trophies to storms that don't meet the catastrophic forecasts they are given.
