Bon voyage, Mark
If memory serves, you leave for the big trip through Asia at this time tomorrow. I've been to Australia and Hong Kong, but the rest of your itinerary is uncharted ground. Have a great time. I'll be in Europe for the next two months and hope to find a full report of your trip in the forum when I return.

Thanks, Mike. And thank you, GG. The trip was a long time in the planning stages, but the time has finally arrived. I'm ready to go now, and have just been spinning my wheels and trying to kill time until tomorrow. Mike, enjoy your stay in Europe and yes, I intend to post a full report in the forum upon my return. 0 -

And if you can't be safe then at least be sanitary!
We'll be expecting pictures from both of you!0 -
If you're in Hong Kong, while there are a bunch of great places to eat, if it is still there, Jimmy's Kitchen was a great place to eat; especially their French Onion Soup! 0 -
Have a good trip Mark. I believe you are stopping in Vietnam, if so say Hi to the central highlands for me. 0 -

I'm afraid I'll miss the highlands. There are stops in Saigon followed by a port between Hue and Danang. This gives me a choice between the two cities and I'm choosing Danang because it is supposed to have a nice beach. My Vietnam excursion ends with a stopover in Haiphong, but I'm not sure if I will be able to get to Hanoi, and if I do, I'm not sure how much of the city I will be able to see.0 -
Have a great trip mark. See you when you get back. I hope your not traveling alone. 0
