    NO.6 Sporting Rifle (1901 - 1933)

    Often mistakenly referenced as a rolling block - this small take-down model rifle utilized a a greatly simply action - locked by propping the breachblock behind the chamber as the hammer dropped

    Weight approximately 4 lbs empty - 20" standard round profile bbl with 4 groove rifling - right hand concentric twist - single shot only with a simple fixed open rear sight - typical .22 rf of the period achieves approx 1040 fps with a 40 grain round nosed lead bullet

    Not as durable or robust as other earlier models - plain straight wrist butt and a dimensionaly challenged rounded fore end - elongated receiver - the head of the dismantling bolt projects beneath the breech - optional special order aperture rear sight could be fitted to the upper tang
