Damn UPS

Packed a computer of mine (exact same packaging of a "newer" computer I bought and was shipped across the country by FEDEX and received without any damage, perfect condition).

Shipped the computer, via UPS, from Memphis to NC. It was damaged beyond repair. The processor's heatsink and cooling fan, which are secured by screws, was completely broken loose . The video card was cracked.

They had to throw this computer all over the place for it to sustain this kind of damage. It was in perfect condition inside and out when it was shipped.

Well, will have to visit the UPS store and file for damages. I do have pictures.

    the average home does not have enuff packaging material on hand to safely box transport into the next county....pics of it all is a great idea..hope you get yer bucks

    They will deny. Not packaged properly.
    Could be packaged in a steel box filled with foam & it wouldn't be enough.

    File the claim.....they deny it.....keep filing appeals.....do NOT give up....they EVENTUALLY pay.

    My son loaded trucks at UPS for a while recently. He also had spent a summer while in school loading FedEx planes at the airport. He knew how to load packages. He handled them correctly. He said most of the other loaders stood at the back of the trucks and threw packages as far as they could into the trailers. No one ever told them to stop doing that. I never would have believed it was so rampant if he had not told me.
