    If he was attacked as he described I hope the perps are caught and punished.

    It just seems very very odd that anyone would be just hanging around @ 2 am especially white guys in Chicago waiting to attack a guy at a Subway and also just happened to know he was the actor from Empire, and knew he was happy, and just so happened to have some "rope" and "bleach" ready for him, were able to attack him in the 60 seconds he wasn't on camera and disappear.

    Police are also looking into the source of the rope Smollett says was placed around his neck during the attack. Initially, Smollett said the rope resembled a "noose," but upon closer examination, according to the Sun-Times, the rope appeared to be a thin "clothesline" which police believe came straight out of the package before it ended up around Smollett's neck (Smollett was still wearing the rope when police arrived to take his report, 45 minutes after the attack).

    GUILTY !!!! What kind of retarded person wears a rope (clothes line[:)] around his neck except a showboat'n attention seeker named Jussie. Should be called Wussie from now on.

    ^^^^this...if a person escaped an attack, where the suspects placed a rope around their neck, the natural reaction would be to remove it...not leave it in place for police....

    This story didn't add up from day one.
    Chicago has never been known as a place of Klan attacks on happys or blacks.

    So for this story to be true, you got two Klansmen stalking the streets of Chicago at 2 am, on a night with a wind chill of -35 degrees.
    They have their Klan rope, of course, and they also have a jug of Clorox. I guess the gallon would be too large, they probably just had the quart jug of bleach.

    This story is complete BS and I hope this guy gets criminal charges, and hope he gets the mental health counseling he needs.

    I suspect he made it up to get media attention. If that's the case they need to hammer him with filing a false report and bill him for the cost of the investigation. He also needs to apologize to the press for using them in his little joke.

    but he will never get any charges if so they will be dropped due to some BS his lawyers can shovel into the pile
