I'd try going to a sit down "diner" get a meal and while sitting there eating have a sign that says: I Have enough for this meal, Please help me with the next.

I'd do that but someone may recognize me and scream FRAUD. or they might ask What happened to you? or,, just plain embarrassing.

No fraud, you are not stating you do not have money for your next meal, only that you would accept help paying for it.

My two favorite pan handlers...first guy said he was with the Arctic Airborne, and was down on his luck.I asked him what the Arctic Airborne did, and he told me they jumped out of airplanes on skis...

That was good for a buck.

The second was a black guy who asked me if I'd like to contribute to the United Negros Pizza Fund.....that was good for a fiver[:)]

Depending on where you panhandle, yes. A few years back, Fox news did peace on panhandling. And it's Salt Lake City they're making about $12 an hour.

Back in the early eighties I watched a documentary on panhandling in New York City. the one guy was saying he was bringing down over $100,000 a year panhandling. Showed him driving into work in the morning driving a Mercedes Benz and wearing a suit, going into the subways restroom and coming out in some ratty clothes...

Here's a more recent case panhandler in New York City the panhandles a Grand Central station. The claims he makes $200 an hour on average...

The trick is getting yourself a dog, he claims with his dog his income doubled...

Come on Ricci I said I was the door gunner on the space shuttle, the halo jump was from space lab as it was burning up in the atmosphere[;)]

I was stuck in Germany while on a business trip. Was there for an extra week during the volcano in Iceland.

So I made a sign out of cardboard with a volcano with smoke coming out of it and a beer stein and the words - trapped by volcano, need bier money! Then I sat on a curb and had a buddy take a picture and we sent it back to the folks at work in the US.

    That's the closest I've come.

few do need help most are doing it as a living what is sad like a lot of thee country
I just heard on the news a couple nights ago several more towns in the area took off the rules and bans on pan handling ( some you had to have a permit so me that shows how profitable it is ) also most have there spot better not thy to take it
