I found one in a pawn shop for $160 when the wholesale cost was around $200. I was sure that given the low price it had surely been shot with corrosive ammo and the insides were rusty. So I took it apart to check.

The lady behind the counter panicked, "Please don't take my gun apart." but it was too late. It was in good condition and I bought it.

I had a Norinco SKS back when they were dirt cheap.
First time at the 100 yard range with a group of friends, The gun would "only" hold a 5" group no matter what I fed it. Cheap mil sup. ammo,
good USA commercial loads, my handloads, any thing I tried.
One of the guys started to make fun of it.

Then I told him, "that's what makes this sks so GOOD!. No matter what you do, it will put a bullet into the chest of a man 100 yards away"

Isn't that what the Chicoms had in mind?????

Love my MAK 90. Buy it and get the correct dust cover. You can get a normal stock too. Great gun!
