I watched this as it was happening, he got pretty mouthy but no cussing. I don?t think he had an actual DOT number, just a company vehicle for his business. If he had a DOT # he needs to educate himself real quick.

And yes, driving a CMV you have given up most of your rights on the highway.

    Poking the bear. You know what happens to all those Salmon that swim upstream?

    He lost the fight when he pulled over and didn't follow the cop to get "Inspected". I know its a game that involves $$. But he could have complied and fought it in court.

    But once the cop called for other cops its not going to end well. They are going to make him submit.

    My guess:

    Arrested
    Vehicle impounded and towed at his expense
    CWP pulled
    Big time lawyer fees

    But hey he showed them[;)]

    What an idiot, he's driving a vehicle that has a commercial sign on it. So should know that the police are entitled to inspect your vehicle for no reason. And if he doesn't know the law he's an idiot..

    What gets me is how he's complaining about all the taxpayers money being wasted. But he's the one that is wasting it, all because he's stupid.

    There is no doubt in my mind that the combined vehicle weight exceeds 2601 lbs, which means that he should have a commercial license and know the laws.

    Even if it's vehicle didn't pass inspection, they would have just gave him a warning and let him on his way, unless that was something that was so unsafe that they couldn't let him down the road...

    I'm not for sure if I sent this before, but, WHAT AN IDIOT..

    A 40-foot gooseneck will have a minimum of 16,000 GVWR or more and that looks like it's at least 1 ton pick up not a 3/4 ton. Which would be another minimum of 10,500 GVWR for a combined GVWR of 26500 pounds... So at the bare minimum he's 499 GVWR over

    Nope! Sold that pickup but this damned Kenworth and trailer has an empty weight of 36,400, too damn heavy!!

    I was watching a trucking vlog a couple of years ago and the driver said he had a camera on when a California cop pulled him over. The cop claimed the driver was not wearing his seat belt and was looking at his phone. The fine was going to be almost 3000 dollars. The driver said he was making a vlog at the time and had proof on tape that the cop was wrong. The cop took the camera and left.
    The driver had to buy another camera to tell the story to his viewers. That is just one of the many reasons I avoid California.

    He should have kept his mouth shut and cooperated. How much trouble would that have been.?

    He'll never get the time back he lost.

    Plus, cops are much better behaved than they were 50 years ago. Back then you didn't want to act like a jerk because when they took you in you'd cross over the Bayou and some folks didn't make it past that Bayou.

    Surprised he got his guns back. I figured they were gone forever.
    I have been pulled over many times for inspections and never even thought about not following them to a safer (or better equipped) location. In 2016 I was stopped, inspected.(everything was OK) and then sat in the car with the diesel bear and talked about guns for a half hour. The officer was Croatian and came to the US when he was 12. Pretty interesting.
