A couple of threads about these yesterday. Thought this would add to the discussion. Seems like he does an honest evaluation of the machines, including price.

    It?s hard to beat Honda and Polaris in off road vehicles. I had a Honda before selling it and buying the Polaris ranger 800. The Polaris is a joy to run compared to being beaten up by the Honda. I do have to admit that the Honda I had was a solid axle were the Polaris is all independent.

    Living here in the sticks where horse drawn Amish carts share the roadways and solid pavement is miles away, I have opted for a gas powered EZGO golf cart.

    I thought about buying one of these UTV's but the prices put me in sticker shock. I don't mind cruising at slower speeds and enjoying the countryside![:)]

    Redacted my interest in tbe Roxor. Way over priced. (For some reason, I thought they were in the $9K range.)


    $15-18K range? Uhhh,.............................................No.

    I have a Polaris RZR 900 Trail. The Trail model is 50? wide so I can ride the narrow trails.

    I have a lot of fun on it and take it on week long camping trips in the WY Bighorns. I use it hard. Mud rocks ramps donuts water. It is road legal and I drive ir down the road at 65 mph.

    In my opinion they are under built and built cheap. Lots of breakdowns with suspension steering bearings and such.

    I have been beating on my Honda atv harder and longer than that RZR and nothing has ever broke on the Honda.

    So far my Son and I have owned 7 or 8 Rangers. I buy a low hour used one every 3-4 years and sell the one I've been using(often for nearly what I paid). No "new vehicle" deprecation for me. Polaris tops the resale market by a wide margin. Polaris has both advantages and disadvantages but overall is my first choice.
    My current and previous Rangers are the 800cc "mid-size" because they fit my little cubby hole garage stall. Next one will probably be a 570 mid-size because I don't trust Grandsons with the giddy up of the 800.
    We see quite a few farm use machines around here with over 10K miles on them and those aren't twiddling down the garden path miles, either.
