I know its the NRA gun of the year and all that good BS but are there any issues with them. I shot a buddys and really like it but its pretty new on the market. Any drawbacks?

They've had their problems, but supposedly sig fix them. But I hear tell there are other problems with them. If I wanted one I'd give them a few years still before I bought one. 0 -
I want to see the one with the safety that was just announced. 0 -

There were issues with early models as noted above. I purchased one that was delivered in Mid April 2018. Sig had haulted production for a period of time and mine was made after that time frame.
That being said, I have 700+ rounds through mine. I have over 250 of my carry ammo through it without a hitch. The only FTE I had was with a dirty round. The firearm passd all of my testing and has been my primary CCW since August of 2018...0 -
I have about the same through mine, with zero FTF. That is using several brands and mixing round nose and hollow points in several mags.
I find the small size does not make for unpleasant recoil, which surprised me, but it is no chore to shoot over hundred rounds at a session.
I also find I don't shoot it as well as I would like, or as I do 1911 and Commander sized pistols. Not sure why.
I find kydex holsters print with it, but leather does not, the belt attachment is the likely cause here. The leather holster is an Askins and clings like a limpet.0 -
Not one issue. 0 -
No problems with mine. 0 -
Early problems were with few guns but I still wanted to wait until all problems were addressed and critics gave it a clean bill of health which now seems to be the case.
To be safe insist on a build date of 2019
Sig puts the day month and year with SN on the pistol's box so it is easy to ascertain the build date0 -
