Posted about a while back. Mahindra/Yanmar? 3 cyl. diesel?
Well one showed up at our local motorcycle/ATV/UTV store. We were discussing it at our lunch work table today. I scoped it out on passing this evening on the way home. (Had other errands to run, or I would have stopped & looked it over.)
I plan on stopping tomorrow evening on the way home, look it over and inquire as to price.
Looks like an inexpensive old school basic Jeep. (I think me and my dog would like to cruise around in it.) [:D]
My property adjoins Doe Mtn. Recreational Area, ATV/UTV 8000 acres of mountainous terrain. I have been WAY back up in there in my regular Jeep. [:D]

It's got a 4 cyl turbo diesel with a 5 spd. 0 -
My local Harley dealership sells them. Never looked at them very closely, but they are interesting to say the least.

This note was 2018, maybe it's is/can be approved for the street, Last I heard it WAS NOT approved and believe it is classified as a UTV.
Mahindra is able to do so by manufacturing the Roxor in India before assembling it in the U.S. Plus, unlike the Wrangler, the Roxor isn't actually street-legal. Despite its Jeep-like bodywork, it's a side-by-side like the Polaris RZR or the Can-Am Maverick, so it doesn't have to meet expensive safety

Last thread on this, (if I am not mistaken,) had simple ways to make them sreet legal.
(Also) UTV's here, are street legal with front and rear lights. I see them on the local roads quite often.0 -
Pretty pricey compared to other side by sides, about $4,500 more than a comparable Ranger. But have a diesel. But then I would have to hear how loud it is, most diesels are pretty loud 0 -

Buy a real Jeep. Wait till you go to get a part for than india engine. Just like their tractors they are not the real deal. 0 -
I'm a "farmer" in a rural area. No such thing as "street legal" for ME. All I have to do is set a feed bucket or sprayer tank in the back and drive anywhere I GD please as long as it's not a 4 lane. Could drive the 4 lane too, but I'm not going to run that fast. 0 -

I'm not surprised..it's 1930s suspension technology and weight versus modern long travel independent suspension, ultra lightweight polymer parts. I find it disappointing that they have such a large 2.5 liter "turbo" diesel that only makes 62 HP/144 ft lbs of torque...a 2.5 diesel without a turbo should make more than 62 HP. At 3000 lbs it's not really a side by side in the recreational sense...this is more designed for farm use and folks that want a nostalgic WWII Jeep kind of vibe.0 -

Our local dealer in Powhatan Virginia had them for $11,995 in white. The other colors drove up the price a couple thousand. I would buy one for a hunting vehicle and drive it to work and back if I can make it street legal. I have looked into it and have not found a legit way to get it street legal. My insurance agent said it cannot be insured as a "on road" vehicle, only as a off road vehicle and they wouldn't pay if it was in a accident on the road. Supposedly, they get 30 mpg and with the ECU "flashed" they have a top speed of 75 mph. 0 -

Had no idea they were in the $15-18K range. Thought I remembered (from previous thread, ) that they were around $9K.
No way in Hell I'd spend $15-18K on one.
For those that missed it on the OP, I currently own a 2010 Jeep
Wrangler bought in 2014 for $23K low mi. (21K) It has been modified quite a bit. Still low mi. (41K) for a 9 year old vehicle.
I just want a UTV to slow cruise the Mtn with my dog along. (Don't really need one.) May look in to trading my On/Off road BMW cyle, for one.
