Good deal Bro!! The DW autos I have handled in the past have been impressive. I like those fancy G10 grips. [:)]

Take the recoil spring out and measure the length, outside diameter and diameter of wire. Due to being shorter the spring is a little 'overworked' compared to a Government Model. Normally the slide will become a little 'sluggish' after a certain round count.

The above measurements will let you buy a proper weight full length spring and you can then make 'two' additional springs.

For my Officer builds I use a standard length 18? # spring, shortened to proper length.

The ECO has a flat recoil spring, DW says they are good for 15K rounds. But I'll measure it. Robbie Wheaton, of Wheaton arms raves about this recoil system made by EGW.

"The recoil system is quite unique for this style of 1911 as we use a solid, one piece guide rod and a flat recoil spring that is rated for 15,000 rounds in .45 ACP. That is 15,000 rounds! Not 500 rounds like most 1911 dual recoil systems are rated for. This is unheard of in a production 1911! This recoil system also gives the benefit of a smooth slide for easier operation and less felt recoil."
