Ruger service

I have heard mostly good things about Ruger Customer Service.

The only personal experience I have, is when my dad bought 2 SR-9 pistols right when they were released. He was having some feeding issues and gave them a call. He had mailing labels sent to him ASAP and they told him he could mail them out 1 at a time, so he still had one around if he needed it. They had them back to him pretty quickly as well and he had zero issues with them after that. I want to say they included a new mag with each one as a little "we're sorry" token.

    Keep us posted Bruce.

We own a couple different Ruger's. All have served us well. With that,we have not needed their customer service but have heard real good things about them.

I have owned ruger's in the past, and just bought my daughter a EC9s and would like to hear about their customer service in case she ever has a problem...

Thanks for reporting and the continued reports to come...

Yep, we own 3 tang safety M77s, a Blackhawk, a P85, a 10/22, and a 22 semi-auto pistol. Most of what I know about Ruger customer service is hearsay. I did call them about 15 years ago about shooting Austrian sub gun ammo(+P+)in the P85. A very friendly lady told me, no problem. She did advise that if I intended to shoot a lot of it, I might change out the recoil spring "once in a while".

I own a bunch of Rugers, and have had some service work done. My experience has been excellent.

I once had a small problem with a new Ruger corrected promptly.
However, I would prefer not to ever have to find out how good a company?s customer service is.

Considering how ubiquitous and omnipresent the 10/22 has become - how high total variant production numbers add up to over the long course of its continuous run of manufacture...

The over all quality has not varied much or dipped below a certain level - and they continue to offer pretty good customer service and quality control / warranty obligations are handled expeditiously and generously...

They have invested in maintaining this level of service for over 50 years and it has paid off in spades - a lesson other companies should hasten to follow but to often sadly do not.

In my experience, Ruger and RCBS are about equal when it comes to customer service.[^]

I sent a Mark 2 pistol back to Ruger that I screwed up and offered to pay for the repairs. They paid shipping both ways, fixed it free and sent me an extra mag and apologized for the problem.

I've owned 10-12 Ruger's in the past with no problems, rimfire, centerfire rifle's and pistol's even a O/U.

However about ten years ago I was at my LGS he had a new RH that looked like a 8 year old had cut the end off the barrel with a hack saw.
Week or two later I was there again and found a different RH that had a big gouge on the side of the frame.
