Anyone have a T/C rifle???
Recently bought a T/C venture in 6.5 x 284 from my LGS. By what I found out it was a limited run in June 2012 for Bill Hicks. Apparently they made 41 of the stainless ones like what I have, and 12 of the blued ones. Can't wait to scope it up and shoot it. Anyone else have/shoot a T/C rifle? If so, what do you think of them?

I have only owned Thompson Center's muzzle loaders. Have had many over the years and currently just have a "Seneca" in 45 caliber. 0 -

I have two ENCORE frames with several barrels, it is my go-to deer rifle with the 45-70 MGM barrel. One shot, one kill. 0 -

I have an Encore with 30-06 & 45-70 barrels both from T/C Custom shop that is now gone. 45-70 with peep sights shoots a 3 shot clover leaf at 100 yds. 30-06 shoots 1" groups at 100 yds. 0 -
I have a 30-06 venture all weather for the price I paid it is a good rifle. As you can guess by the name it is the rifle I use when the weather is nasty 0 -
Two Hawkens, flint and percussion and a Patriot pistol, but no center fire rifles from TC. 0 -
I have a Venture with the weather shield finish in .270 Win.
The only thing I don't like is the magazine only holds two rounds but I've never needed more that one shot so its OK.0 -

Another Encore owner. I have three center fire barrels, a 7 mm mag, a .223, and .223 10 inch pistol barrel. The quality of the T/C Encore is awesome, the trigger pull is the best I have experienced out of the box.
The only complaint I have is the weight of the rifle. Mine is dressed with hardwood stocks, and heavy barrels, so after 5 or 6 hours of carrying it on coyote hunts, it can be cumbersome compared to carrying my Winchester 1300 shotgun.0 -
I bought a T/C Compass in 6.5 Creedmoor in November. Even with the 5.3 lb trigger, it was super accurate. I changed out the springs with an MCarbo.com kit, brought the trigger to lb, and now makes a jagged hole at 100 yd with Hornady Precision Hunter 143 gr factory ammo. Can't wait to try it on whitetails next season or hogs sooner than that.0 -

MCarbo makes some great springs... I just ordered one for my new T/C.0 -
Venture is a nice rifle we do well with them. The compass not so much. Anything black powder they have made is usually excellent! 0 -
My very first muzzle loader was a T\C 56 caliber smooth bore. It would shoot both shot and round ball and was a fine intro into black powder shooting! Mine had an exceptional figured curly walnut stock and came with a .55 T|C round ball mold for making my own.
I took a few nice deer with that ole gal but soon took a great interest in custom muzzle loaders and learning the skills to build my own rifles with a lot more historical accuracy. Flintlocks became my preferance as well. So, at one of our clubs shooting get togethers, I sold the 56 to another newby who got the same good start that I did. [^]0
