Back in the gunshop days we had a customer who owned a ruger 10/22 that was not extracting correctly - and you would frequently get stovepipe action blockage jams which prohibited cycling and feeding
I cleaned it and performed all suggested maintenance - I replaced the extractor - I tried several different brands of ammunition and the problem remained
Called ruger and they said ship it back - and to save on shipping we dismounted the bbl and only sent the stock and receiver
When the gun came back it arrived with a new bull bbl on it and a spare magazine - and the extraction issue had been resolved

I too have had excellent results from Ruger customer service. I guess the downside is the Mark II had to go back, meaning the quality control wasn't what it should have been but who of us doesn't make mistakes? I think that doing what it takes to correct the occasional mistake is about all you need to know about Ruger.
If I have to rely on one revolver for a true survival scenario, it will be a Ruger! Ruger's are Hell for stout! Short of using a Redhawk or a GP100 as a hammer how can you break them??0
