Do you think Trump has been rope-a-doping the house?

Do you think it was a coincidence that Mantis quit just before the shutdown (or what I call the start of the political rope-a-dope)?

Do you think it's funny that President Trump who is known to fight against all odds and end up winning, to suddenly just lay down and play dead?

Do you think the shutdown was stall tactic (rope-a-dope) to make sure the interim Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan would be on board with this little-known law to build a fence in the name of protecting the United States against drug trafficking from the south?

Read about the law that will allow President Trump to built the wall without any approval from the house or the Senate. All he needs is to have his secretary of defense use this law to build the wall...

Everybody thinks pelosi has Trump on the ropes taking a beat down, including pelosi and a lot of people here... They thought the same thing when Foreman had Ali on the ropes until Ali pulled his famous rope-a-dope...

    I agree. I chose to believe he is playing the long game and now has the Ds right where he wants them. They said they'd negotiate after the government was open. If they don't it's game on. Trump never caves.

    President Trump will keep going and look for ways to get what he wants done. That isn't the issue.

    The issue is the republicans failed to keep their promises, again. When they held both chambers they did not overturn obamacare and they did not fund the wall. It is no secret why they lost the house, failure to keep promises has consequences.

    Some in conservative media seem to think he has now put the shut down in the lap of the Dems. That he's called Nancy's bluff and she'll have to show her cards for in fact being against any funding of the wall, and is negotiating in bad faith, will fail to pass legislation so that when the gov shuts down in three weeks if will be back on her and Chuck for the shutdown. After all the Dems said they would negotiate wall funding, just not during a shut down. Trump has offered lots of compromise, if they reuse to deal on wall funding them they caught in a lie. Maybe those pundits are right, I guess we will see.

    I say he knuckled under and playing ball. I guess he was never the loose cannon in a white squall I was hoping he was.

    The Dems are going to give him the wall if they really want the DACA dreamers on their side. If that doesn't happen Trump can use an EO because of the next "invasion", so he wins again.
