A bit chilly here in southern Minnesota at -29 degrees, That's not the wind chill , feels like -50 according to my computer forecast weather info.

Thankfully, a propane tank isn't affected by wind chill.
My propane tank is underground. Same depth as a septic tank so I think it would take whatever nature can throw at it in northern wisconsin. They have been doing that more frequently over the last few years. Wind chill doesnt affect it so even though we have minus 50 wind chill right now, the actual temp is -24. Minus 44 is the actual temp for what you describe. I can only recall 3 or 4 times in 30 years that the actual temp here was below that. I have neighbors with above ground tanks (most of them). They all have alternative or supplemental heat sources like pellet stoves or wood. There is a heat tape for tanks but I dont know much about them or anyone that uses them except for the actual delivery trucks.0 -

It's now 21 degrees here in middle Tenn. Wind chill is about 14 degrees.
The weather channels say going down to 7 or 9 tonite before wind chill.

Turned the heat off in the house, it's very seldom I get the opportunity to experience extreme cold temperatures. Piling on the sheets, blankets, comforter, quilt and bedspread to experience this potential freeze in warm comfort.
Not sure the TV is rated for these cold temperatures, maybe I'll get lucky.
Might even make some popcorn unless it's just too much trouble to put on robe, socks, slippers to travel to the kitchen.0 -

PS, Suppose to be 45 on Sunday! 65 degree swing, no Global Warming hugh? We see -22 occasionally in NE WI in Jan, but 45 in January within a few days of -22. No. GW does not mean we will never see cold or snow, just a little less often and the extremes will be worse. 0 -

Hunker down up there in the North Country. Hope it stays away from Monroe. Did the 150' driveway three times since yesterday(powder) with the big Red Max blower. About 5 degrees now and almost can't stand up with the wind.0 -
