I remember the "Move" house (row home bunker) in Philadelphia populated by the "Africa" family (militant black supremacy group)
After multiple small arms engagements throughout the course of the day (not only fire directed at uniformed police officers but other first responder like firemen and emts) they dropped an improvised explosive device (comp b det blocks and c4 plastique) on the heavily armored roof via helicopter
The device resulted in an incendiary conflagration - fire response vehicles and personal attempting to respond again came under heavy fire - they retreated and let the place burn to the ground with the "family" still inside (they continued to return suppressing fire essentially pinning the group inside the burning structure)
The adjoining homes on either side burned down - as did most of that side of the street

Shooting was at 7800 Harding in SOUTHEAST Houston. Warrant for selling "black tar heroin" was being issued.
Black tar heroin is an export into the U.S. via the Southern Border between mexico and the U.S. Similar to "crack cocaine" as it's the dregs of the barrel sold to people who can't afford the better drugs.

Someone unaware is usually not familiar with dealings in heroin. I already said how it's coming into the US, by cargo ships. Also by flying mules, into every international airport in this country. There are lots of folks that are heroin addicts that would surprise others. If you develop an opiate dependency from pain meds and they cut off the pain meds then folks seek out heroin. Often times they start selling it in order to maintain their own habit. Their clean criminal histories could simply mean they hadn't gotten caught up until this point, or they only recently turned to selling or using heroin. We arrested a college professor in his late 60's, never been arrested for anything before with a good quantity of meth. He said he'd been a meth addict for about six months, introduced to it by some lil prostitute he started hitting.0 -

I grew up on the South East side of H-Town near Hobby airport. It's a smelting pot of everyone & all wage groups & classes.
I worked Law Enforcement there with the Harris County Sheriff's department in the mid 80's till I was able to jump to a more rural area in Brazoria County (Alvin/Pearland) just South of there.
Today that area is now a suburb of Houston, and the population has skyrocketed.

I have to say, this deal is starting to look fishy. These are big time dope dealers, 58 years old and zero criminal record?
Hard to believe.
By police accounts, the raid started when they broke in the door and then they shot the dog.
I don't deal dope and I don't have any dope in my house, but if you kick in my door and shoot my dog, there will be a gun battle.
I support law enforcement and worked with cops, Ga State Patrol, GBI and DNR on a daily basis as a paramedic for 14 years in Georgia. I admire and respect cops.
However, cops are know to fudge the fact a little sometimes, like Ruby Ridge, and like the bogus ATF raid on Koresh and his followers in Waco.

Also, from what I understand there was only one shooter, the male subject.
The story I read said the female was shot when she went to grab at one of the wounded officers gun.
I can guarantee knowing the area that the dog was probably a Pit Bull. Every third house around there has a lawn-gator or Land Shark in their fenced in yard, and last I knew they couldn't read a warrant. They just react to a bad guy breaking in.
Dog attacks burglar, burglars shoot dog, home owner freaks out & returns fire...its possible, but we will never know.

Manvel,Pearland & Santa Fe was white flight just the Woodlands ,Conroe etc.. They all left Houston with about 8% whites left in the city limits.
But Pearland is where affluent blacks have moved in. It's all about money and how organized you are but The real middle class we had here in Houston Texas is long gone nothing but minorities with foreigners there/here now.
