A butt kicking???
Looks like our President got his butt kicked this time. I am sincerely hoping he has some kind of plan to make a comeback in three weeks but I don?t see how it?s gonna be any different then. The damn democrats aren?t going to deal then just as now and why should they?? On NPR they are bragging about their victory. God I hate hearing that buzzard Schumer talking about how they ?taught Trump a lesson?.

He may kick back with vetoes of some favorite bills they offer. 0 -
Not if he's planning on doing this...
publican senator Mark Meadows discovered this "loophole"of how to build the wall without the house or Senate approval... Maybe Trump is just reopening the government and then he's going to use this law to get the wall built
At least let's hope so.

He has been known on more than one occasion to go in through the back door to get a deal done0 -

The (D)'s/Marxists/snowflakes would tie that up in court until hell freezes over....0 -
am i wrong in thinking the border itself is pretty much privately owned property? if that is the case then the feds would have to buy it or procure it thru eminant domain to legally establish a wall, and construction easement....there is the legal nightmare that can be tied up in courts for a long time.....not counting the Environmental Impact Study that is mandatory on any federal project. all this could be delayed for years upon years. 0 -
ever thread by people on the border says the illegals make life to dangerous....i'd give room for a wall and a road to haul their azzzes OFF 0 -

The laws already on the books. no judge in the right mind would allow into his court until the law changed0 -
I think he made a smart move. He has a plan. Standby....
"The Art of Negotiation}" dictates you must give a little to get a lot.
It is important to let the other side (especially when they are as bitter and snarky as the democrats) feel they can save face.
The dems will be strutting around taking credit for funding the government while real Americans can sit back with a smirks on our faces knowing we got our wall.0 -
The Majority of the people Voted President Trump in on the promise to build the Wall. The Majority.
Whats the problem?0 -
I have a plan to fix the whole wall mess. Let Mexico annex & have California since at this point no one would miss it anyway. "They" would get all the "whack" job politicians that have destroyed that place. Then U.S. Citizens can enjoy the lease money that comes back in to pay for "entitlements for south of the border residents that are already here......... 0 -

The only good thing that comes from California is the wine oh, and even that's iffy...0 -
I am waiting to see how this will play out. Not for one second do I believe POTUS Trump abdicated, without having another move in mind.

Slight correction. The majority of Americans voted Hillary Rodham Clinton for POTUS. Due to the brilliance of the electoral College and our founding Fathers Trump won, otherwise you would be saying "Madam President".0 -
i would have NEVER said madamprez.....but she would have been to busy loading trains and trucks of cash to their "foundation" to listen to any criticism...and letting AMERICAN CITIZENS overseas DIE to further her agenda...wicked witch of the west 0 -

Yes Sir.
Those that want (and Vote) for everything Free, are not going to be very pleased when/if the Gravy Train stops rolling.
As it should.
Even the Bible says something to the effect of "Let those who would not work, Not Eat."0 -
Sometimes one has to suck it up and realize that you can't deal with intolerant agenda driven idiots.
Don't know if that is what Trump did, and it doesn't really matter.
Someone had to be the bigger man, and it looks like this time it was our President.
He may believe that there is some sincerity in Chuck and Nancy saying they will negotiate in good faith. They are both backstabbing, low-life soulless agenda whores, so this is unlikely. Perhaps then, the end game is to expose how self-centered these two miscreants are in the hopes of turning the majority of independent voters against them.
Nothing wrong in doing the right thing. With the national media pushing the 'it's all Trump's fault' mantra day after day after day, Chuck, Nancy, and all of their brain-dead compatriots in the House and Senate had no incentive to play ball.
Not sure if they do now, as they probably still feel the anti-Trump agenda can be fanned for the next 22 months to get one of their ilk into the White House.
Sadly, they are probably correct.0 -

I very much agree with this analysis of the issue.
I am afraid that the you are also correct on the outcome of all of this.
I find it more and more difficult everyday to try to persuade people with facts that what Trump was doing was for our countries own good.
Just too many people who are just concerned with their own well being and not the well being of the country.0 -
For the life of me, I can't fathom why so many people wish to follow the paths of prior failed Socialist experiments. It seems the draw of 'free stuff' is powerful enough to overcome history. 0 -
