If you want a 327 Fed mag.

The best option for me is the Ruger GP 100...
I like the 327.
I've had the SP 101 in 3 in.
At my advanced age I like a little more heft, than the SP.

I know I am in the Minority---But.

I like wheel guns..

Waiting for""yeah but 357"

    I had the opportunity to fire a Ruger LCR in .327. I like it overall. Trigger was decent and even though it was a small, light revolver, recoil was not bad at all.....I might have to try a GP100 in .327 when I run across one.....

    When this caliber 1st came out, I was thinking, "I'm getting one of those at some point!" I kind of forgot about it after some time and just recently was looking at the ballistics and reading some literature on it again.

    Thanks for the opinion on the different models.

    Eh, have a custom cylinder/barrel done on a super redhawk frame. Probably won't even recoil. As a bonus, you could maybe get 8 or 9 rounds of 32 into that cylinder...

    I have a SP 101 in .327 3" barrel. I shot it yesterday and really like it. I thought the .327s handled fine out of it. Holds 6 rounds. IIRC the GP 100 in .327 holds 7 rounds.

    I really like the 101 and often carry it. I also have it in a birdhead grip Single seven. Single action, but it is a hoot.

    .327 is about 90% of a .357 with less recoil.

    I have had a FA M97 revolver in 327 for several years. While not one I bought for self-defense, I love it. It shoots on a string out to 100 yds and is very accurate - enough for hunting smaller animals. I have not and would not hunt deer sized animals with it, but expect that it would do the job if the bullet was correctly placed. The ladies love to shoot it. It is the "fun" revolver that I own.

    On the list to look for in Tulsa the Henry would be the easiest to find

    One of the few "new" cartridges that I think makes sense.

    It really shines out of longer 6" barrels.

    100 gr (6 g) JHP 1,400 ft/s (430 m/s) 435 ft# lbf (590 J)
    115 gr (7 g) JHP 1,300 ft/s (400 m/s) 431 ft# lbf (584 J)

    I just found this out myself! I always wanted a 10mm lever gun, but one chambered in the .327 Federal would certainly suffice!

    I just got a Ruger Single Seven. I have yet to get it to the range but I have been acquiring ammo and loading supplies. I have a box of 32 S+W, 32 S+W long, 32 H+R mag and 327 brass and a bunch of bullets.

    I think that either of the S+W rounds just might be the perfect centerfire round to start young kids and female shooters. As I mentioned, I haven't shot it yet but I don't think it is possible that the 32 S+W could have any recoil and I would guess the long has almost no recoil. I would know the answers to these thoughts if it hadn't rained on the day I had set aside to shoot last week!!

    If it is any indication, I have a model 94 Winnie trapper chambered in .45 Colt, and it is a real hoot. Actually enough to hunt with (kinda close) and pretty much no recoil. I wonder if a need another...
