Explain this to me, I am not getting it
Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and other Social Media platforms.
Why on this Gods green earth would anyone here ever use these platforms? Each of the hates your guts, they hate everything you believe in. They love Marxists, ban conservative posters, make literally billions of dollars off of your participation.
WHY DO YOU PARTICIPATE?
We got along just fine before Facebook and Twitter. Hell there is a phone and even snail mail to communicate with loved ones. I realize we are all forced to buy products from those that aim to destroy us. Greeting cards are one area that is ALMOST impossible to get around, they all hate your guts and want your money.
There are brands we buy that are hard to get around. They hate your guts and are working actively to destroy everything you believe in. Starbucks is a great example. The entire movie industry is bat-crap-crazy, full of idiots with lots of money yet gun and freedom loving Americans still pack movie theaters to see the latest rerun remake of an old movie feeding billions into the coffers of those that hate your guts.

The only when I belong to his Facebook. And the only reason why I signed up for it is because I moved to Mexico for about a year for my work, and when I got back call my brother got moved from Las Vegas to Boston because of a promotion. So in essence we both have the same phone number and could not get a hold each other. a couple years after I got back from Mexico somebody told me that they saw that my brother had a Facebook account. So I joined so that I could get in touch with him and reunite with him
So as you can see, I probably never would have got really reunited with my brother had it not been for Facebook. So Facebook for me has served a very valuable service
The only reason I ever open it up now, is when I get a notification that somebody has sent me a message through Facebook...
Facebook served its purpose for the original reason why I joined it, and still serves its purpose if somebody ever needs to get hold of me that has no other way to get hold of me.
But that doesn't mean I want you to start sending all your hate posts to my Facebook account, you can just keep on delivering them here...[;)]0 -

I very rarely go to movies. We have just about stopped TV altogether. Neither me or wife has spent a dime for any kind of music, lately.
I think she wishes she never started BookFace.
I will say this. I?ll be 65 soon. I have only a few good years left. I?m beginning not to care who does what, anymore.

I don't use any of it, I don't even use voicemail on my cellphone which BTW is just an old fashion flip phone. I haven't seen the inside of a movie theater in 15 years and could care less if they all went out of business. Facebook could go tits up and all I would say is good riddance to bad rubbish. 0 -

Regardless of Facebook's political or social philosophies, they are a useful tool for keeping up with tons of family along with Navy, motorcycling, skydiving and gun related friends. There are dozens, maybe hundreds of gun related pages there that rival most webpages for info and entertainment. They are a tool, nothing more. Not something I am 'participating' in. 0 -
I use em. I rarely post but I make more money off FB, CL, etc., than I do here. guns stuff is easy to sell on those sites if you are hip on knowing how to go about it.

I do indeed realize that fact. However, GB Holdings, Inc. is an entity that supports my beliefs. I therefore support them with the buying and selling of guns and related items.

Read Abraham Mazlow and his hierarchy of needs. Pay particular attention to the center of the pyramid and it all makes sense.
People get stuck in social media to satisfy their belonging needs.
The desire to satisfy ones belonging need are so great in some individuals, they are willing to make great sacrifices. Sacrifices to include losses of personal freedom and liberty.

Facebook is a good way to stay in touch with old friends and relatives. Event reminders from organizations and other communication tools similar to what we have here. The other platforms are fluff. 0 -

My daughter wanted me to get on fartbook so she could share pics of the grandkids. I told her that if she wants me to see them, send them in a text or email, because there is no way in hell I'm having anything to do with fartbook. And that was about 14 years ago. 0 -

I'm a member of Twitter, Farcebook, Whatsapp and no other social media platforms. Didn't use my real name, address, etc. to sign up. Twitter is useful if following someone like TRUMP or Melania and facebook has a few interesting pages.
Whatsapp is very handy for communicating world wide, supports, photos, texting and voice messaging, including telephone. All for free, ha, but can't see where they know a lot about me that isn't readily available many other places.0 -
FB is the only social media (other than this and a couple forums) that I use. I admit to getting sucked into the political BS but I also use it to sell things (I'm a woodworker), advertise my CHL classes and keep up with my Scout Troops.
Like it or not, FB is the central conduit for pretty much everything. I wish I could drop it, but if I did, those that I need to communicate with won't follow. So, I remain...0 -

I don't use any of that BS facebook/twitter or snapsh-it. I stay in touch with my family by visiting them in person or giving them a call on my flip phone or an occasional E-mail.
I don't support anything in hollywood or pro ball of any sort. College ball is next on my list of things to drop. It's nothing more than a sorry minority prep-school for the NFL and NBA. The only good thing about the NFL and NBA is the fact that if the players weren't playing pro ball 95% of them would be on welfare plus they're stupid enough to be easy targets for white women to get rich off of which keeps them off of welfare also.0 -

boost, yes you are correct that we all support organizations that hate us but want our money.
Any form of media falls into this, social or otherwise.
Also, for most anything we buy, chances are a lot of that money is going to a liberal organization.
So feel free to single out social media, but that is the tip of the iceberg. I guess I figure if you enjoy it or it provides some value to you, use it. Where is the option from a conservative source?
Personally, I do have a Facebook account, have done a few 'shares' but post almost nothing.
I really enjoy going on out of state hunting trips and Facebook is a great place to find outfitters and especially good to be able to read reviews on them. I've yet to find a better place on the internet for this. Many outfitters don't have their own webpage, just a facebook page.
Also, for whatever reason, Facebook messenger is my 78 year old mothers' favorite means of communication. Who'd have thought!0 -
