I remember it was a lot better did not cost a crazy price for a bucket of chicken . and not fried pigeon parts ( as small as they are has to be now ) 0 -
I don't remember it ever being anything but greasy. But sometimes it hit the spot. It has probably been 20 years or more. 0 -
It sucks around here. I eat Churches. Great chicken and the green beans and fried okra as well. 0 -
about a month ago i had the taste for kfc i like to fell over when i saw the price for a large bucket only..when i got home and opened it i was taken back and it tasted like chicken foo..the local grocery has fried chick and is a lot better,,fast food is getting really bad 0 -

Unfortunately, my taste buds have a very long memory! Way back when, Kentucky Fried Chicken original recipe was the best around. Way before they shortened their logo to KFC.
About once a year I buy some thinking that they somehow fixed things to what it used to be, but alas! NOPE! [xx(]

I tried it one time. that was enough for me. mid 70s. Columbus ohio.
three of us were heading to national trail raceway. we been drinking and we were hungry. we stopped at kfc and got a bucket of chicken to go. we head back to the truck where we could have a beer with our chicken
. as we started to eat one of my friends got the first piece from the bucket and said this smells funny. the second guy said there aint no such thing as bad chicken and he eats. reluctantly i grab a piece and take a bite and spit it out. I looked where I had taken a bite and started puking. that got the other two gagging. on said what the hell is a matter with you. I kicked the piece of chicken that I had taken a bite from to him and then he started puking. it was full of fried MAGGOTS0 -

I'm okay with the all dark meat bucket. 9 or 10 piece is like a buck a piece with a coupon. Still love the slaw. That is like CRACK to me. If mine didn't have Long John Silver/KFC combo shop I wouldn't go there all that much. Also the coupon helps but it seems it goes up a buck a year on the same item. 0 -
Actually here in Utah it still tastes pretty good. I think they still use the original recipe and they actually use chicken still. I have tried KFC in other states and it was enough to gag a maggot...
But then KFC is a utah-based company, so maybe the owners are too embarrassed to let it be known by their friends that they screwed up a chicken.so maybe they just keep the original recipe in certain areas...

When did they change how they cooked the chicken? It seemed it wasn't all the places at once. As best I can recall it may have been as early as before 1970 or maybe as late as 1980. I do recall that the taste really went downhill. I also recall that the Col get them really upset when he complained about the gravy tasting like wallpaper paste. 0 -

Kentucky Fried Chicken, not KFC, opened for business in my hometown of Traverse City Michigan back in 1964. They were good back then!
I remember seeing one of the first James Bond movies starring Shaun Connery, "Goldfinger" I think, where they had a scene in the parking lot of a Kentucky Fried Chicken joint. ca. 19640 -

Many years ago : I really liked Kentucky Fried Rats : Then as time went by , It tasted some-what different and more and more Greasy ? To the point I could no longer eat it !
I went into the local KFC once last year : was really disappointed !
Always liked Churches Chicken , wish there was one local !
We do have a Bojangles here , its better than KFC , not as good as it was a few years back , I will eat there a few times a year !!!

Just about every grocery store has a deli these days and most put out a spread of fried chicken. Some are pretty darn good. Most are much better and MUCH cheaper than KFC! 0 -

I spent 2500 dollars in Corbin .. my injector pump quit on the Dodge Diesel. Got hauled there for 3 nights of nothing in a dry county.0 -
I like it. The newly opened KFC is a welcome change. I've bought several $20 Family fill ups. 8 pieces of Chicken, two large mashed potatoes, gravy, cole slaw, 4 bisquits, with plenty of butter, if you ask for it.
If you choose not to buy it, well.....................................Don't buy it. I will continue to enjoy it.
