And got a smartphone. Got on her 4G unlimited plan so {elsewhere} and Spotify should not be a problem [:D]

still got my dumb phone and verizons crappy plan where they cut your speed ...especially if wife uses her smart phone or tablet here instead of at town house where she has a another brand plan.....but it covers here and our lake place 200 miles away OK....smart and dumb phone and 2 speed computer plan at home is $200 a month 0 -

Yup sure can [:D] I had one on my watch list , set the alarm on my phone to go off 20 minutes before the auction ended , ( so I wouldn't forget about it ) [:(]
Alarm went off as planned, good thing too [:D] checked on price and put my highest bid in ( it was enough) and now I have a new toy on its way to my FFL, when I got home later on that day I went on line and did the check out thing , I had a tracking number just a little later on for it0 -
I'm afraid the day is coming where having a smart phone will be required. Not by law, but by virtue of the fact that you won't be able to buy anything or do anything unless it is through or by the phone.

I miss my Motorola flip phone. It stayed in my front pocket. I never misplaced it.

The only reason I own one is because I won't own a computer, and pay for internet access on top of it. So for $50 a month I can make all the phone calls I want and use the internet to my heart's desire... Of course I'm limited to a small screen, unless I hook it up to my TV (which I never do), but that's no big deal. I don't watch porns anyway0 -

They're just like a laptop, you never use the battery unless it's not plugged in to a charger.and as long as I'm not on my computer part of my smartphone, my battery last for about 10 hours before it goes dead using it for about everything you mentioned except course to computer. If I use the computer part of my laptop, my battery lasts about two and a half 3 hours... But I'm not one of these guys that walks around all day long on the computer without being close to a charger...
Plus I have a 50,000 MAH external battery pack charger for it that's not the same size as my phone if I have to recharge on the go that I can run my phone using the computer for about 15 hours on, that cost me $20... So I can run the computer in my smartphone for about 20 hoursusing the internal battery and the external battery pack without putting it on the charger. And of course the computer uses up the most power of all the features that has...
If I just use the phone part of it, it'll last about 24 hours using just the internal battery... And if I'm not by a charger within 8-10 hours, I certainly don't use my computer anyway. Because I would be out either boating, hunting, fishing etc...
Now you can buy one of these external battery pack chargers for your dumb phone too and end it would probably last week without putting it on a charger because you're not using anything that draws heavy amperage. Of course I could do the same thing if I turn off all my features except for my phone oh, and just turned on the features when I needed them. For instance my GPS if I'm in backcountry hunting for a week at a time.
And of course I do have a TomTom GPS, but I really don't need it with Google map could I have in my smartphone...
And if I'm out in the backcountry I have an app that will give me a map of the area that I'm in that uses the GPS in conjunction with it. That way if I'm in an area that I don't know there's no chance of me getting lost...
Aren't you I paid $100 for my smartphone and you probably got your dumb phone for free, but then again how much did you pay for you computer and your ongoing internet service... I would have to pay the same price for cell service for unlimited talk weather I used a smartphone or a dumb phone. So internet access actually comes to me free...
And yes, I do need to have internet access with me in my business, and I can't carry a laptop with me, so a smartphone is the only intelligent choice I have...0 -
Doubt I spend $20 per month on two prepaid plans in two countries. WiFi calling,, free, why spend the money? [:D][:D] My wife pays for a "plan" and don't know how much or why she has a plan.
Taking selfies,, NO WAY that will ever happen and if I know "some person" has taken a picture of me I ask them to delete the photo. You will soon come to REGRET some of the "selfies" that are on somewhere ready to popup and bite you on the ***.

Old hand me down phone dumb phone here, prepay card plan averages about $10 per month.
I do not feel left out trying to keep up with the phone nerds.

Best phone I found is a Samsung S7. $100 at Wallyworld and a $35 card every 30 days. I got my phone on Walmart black Friday for $50.
It allows access to your email, facebook or whatever you use.0 -
