Winchester 1200 question / problem
Bought a used Winchester 1200 shotgun a couple years ago. Looked like it was in pretty nice shape, clean, and no rust. Price was right. I took it trap shooting a few times over the past month. The first time shooting two boxes of shells, it did fine. The second time on my first box of shells it started having trouble pumping. It was binding up tight after the first shot. I would try to pull the slide back, and it would just bind up. And it would bind up TIGHT.
I disassembled it and found it fairly clean but dry. I cleaned it top to bottom and oiled it and went out a week ago. Midway through my first box, it started binding up. The it was OK for another five or six shots, then it would bind up.
I originally thought the issue was the gun was dirty and dry. Having cleaned and oiled it pretty well and then having problems again, I'm confused. Is this operator error, trying to pump it too quickly? I've read that some shotguns need the slide to go forward just a tiny bit after a shot and before retracting the slide (inertia normally takes care of that). If I'm pulling back on the slide and not allowing that to happen---honestly, I don't know.
I'm going to take it apart and clean it again. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

WAG. Look at the ejector. The 1200 and 1300 ejectors are nearly identical and prone to a tab breaking, which allows it to bind between the bolt assembly and receiver housing.
IIRC they are either pinned, or held with a screw at one end, and slide into a notch at the other end.0
