If it isn't copy-protected, you download to your pooter, then resize it. Then, depending on where you want to post it again, you may have to upload it to a site like imgur.com

    PITA? yup.

That's what I was afraid of.
Had loads of troubles with different photo web sites when I sold
on the internet a few years ago.

Some sites let you upload directly from your computer. For those, you can resize photos yourself.

Others avoid storing megabazillions of bytes on their own servers by requiring links to photo storage places. For those, you have to resize on the storage site.

At least, that's how I understand it - but I'm only one step up on the smarts ladder from you. If that.

You mean to tell me I can get a free rifle scope with just a few strokes of the keyboard? Cool man, count me in. [:p]

The scope was free but they wanted $400 postage, so I passed it up.[:D]

So Imagur knows what to do with a pic that is 2800x1700 vs a pic
    455x345??
Are the big thumbnails always the same size no matter what the starting size was?

If you'll delete that crap in red before you post the picture it will line up to the left like it's supposed to do.
