Nice story-and good for you- but here in the St. Louis area, NOBody plays another guys hand in a casino. I don't know how you got by with it.
But glad you took your mom to something she likes to do.[:)]

I took my Mom to gamble on river boats in the water somewhere along I20 on the way to Texas to visit her brother.

I think it was in Missouri. Not sure though.

When time to leave and cashed out, they made about $1.00 and thought it was wonderful.

I've seen quite a few times I'd been very happy leaving a casino up a dollar [:D]

I never really felt the FUN in going to a casino.

The few times I have walked in the door of any were because of the free 5 dollar gift cards I received from a gun show that was held yearly at this Native American place. It cost 5 bucks to get into the gunshow and having it given back to spend next door seemed kind of cool.

Never made anything out of the 5 dollars and never spent any out of pocket money. The one time I took my kid sister along, she came home with 3 Ben Franklins from a slot machine.[:)]

Dave, spending any time with your mom who is alive makes me jeolous!

My wife and daughter and I stopped in Reno last Monday on the way home from Idaho. Spent the night at the Peppermill. My daughter doesn't gamble as a rule, but I gave her $40 and told her to have fun. I about a minute she comes back to where I was with a cash out ticket for $79.50. Said her second push of the button on a penny slot paid off. She went back to another machine, sat down and I walked over after her first push to see the machine racking up credits. Turned out that not knowing what she was doing she just hit the "Max Bet" button, and on the first push hit something that paid over $345.00. She gave me back my $40, quit playing and left the next day up $420. I've never been that lucky. The wife and I both left up about $40, but in my case that was only because on the way out I hit an $85 win on a dollar slot. I don't mind playing the slots for a while, but I get bored after a couple hours. And I never play the table games.

I used to love playing Caribbean Stud poker. My last visit to Vegas I could not find it in any Casinos. I asked a pit boss and he said they had done away with it in all the casinos. Not enough profits apparently.

I'd be insulted if someone gave me $100 bucks out of the blue. He obviously thinks he's better than me and more successful.
