Mossberg Shockwave .410

Wondering if anyone has any experience with these?
Right now Rural King is running a sale for either the .410 or 20ga for $299.98 + tax & $12.99 shipping to your Local Rural King store.

The Shockwave is the new(er) 14" barreled pump action shotgun with a birds head pistol grip.
This particular offering includes an easily removeable magazine cap for easy cleaning, and a heavy barrel with a cylinder bore choke and a 3" chamber.

    Not with that model, but I bought a Mossberg Patriot for my Grandson and it shoots great. I was impressed! Hes 12 and shot two bucks the first day. I would vouch for their quality.

    I shot a 12 ga one in a recent pistol march stage, quite a handful. Ironically I missed the steel plate on one shot so you do have to aim.

    A place that rhymes with Falsetto Plate Harmony had 20 ga on sale recently for $269 and free ship. I decided it wasnt practical and didn't want to get a new caliber so passed.

    got an new Tuffy 410 3" by Rossi coming...similar to the old Snakecharmer 410...will attach a LED 2000 lumen light and maybe a laser for night time roundabouts trying to get the super bulldozer armadillo working in my yard ...have a like new 410 pump but the one handed 410 is a lot easier to get around with...transfer bar and side safety also...

    I will wait patiently for the 28 gauge variant...

    And my disappointment in no longer being permitted to legally install a bump stock to to the above referenced model casts a long shadow on my pursuit of happiness...

    I have the 12 gauge and while fine with skeet loads, I agree with Krony; it is a handful with buckshot or any magnum loads. I never did work up the nerve to try 3"! The 20 gauge might be worth looking at.

    A .410 3" carries as many #8 shot as a low brass 12 gauge #6 shot

    Brought it home today, but too late to take it out for a test run.
    Might try tomorrow, but we're forecast to get 4-7" of snow tonight, AND we'll be blessed with 35 mph wind gusts!

    It may have to wait for another day.
    I did cycle a couple of magazines full of ammo through it.
    Everything checks out.

    I would try the Winchester PDX
    It is a copper plate backed by 3 copper balls.
    Pretty devastating out of a 4" Judge.
