I am not a Henry Rifle guy....but this one is okay
Never cared for the Henry Rifles, however this one looks kinda nice. The engraving on the left side of the receiver sucks, but Turnbull did some nice case coloring. I see these guns come up from the HSSHF quite a bit and always wondered why they never have more or better pictures of their stuff.

Looks good but I still miss the loading gate, they just look wrong to me. 0 -
Somehow they just don't get me excited. They seem to be well made for the money, but they always kinda look cheap to me. Too many years looking at Winnies I guess. It does look wrong without a loading gate. 0 -

I like the early Henry Golden Boys.
After that, not so much.
I appreciate they are American Made and I understand they have a great warranty, but they just don't do it for me.
Every time I see or hear Henry Rifle, I think of an original 1860 Henry Rifle.[;)]0 -
Sold my 22 one. 0 -
I love my Henry Golden Boy. That thing is so fun to shoot and in my 22 league I can shoot almost better that anyone with else iron sights.
The others have been spent a lot more for the guns and the sights. My Henry shoot true right out of the box.0 -
Looked a guys .357 Magnum Henry rifle over, as he was receiving it at the FFL/Gunshop. Octagonal barrel, nice wood, Brass receiver. I thought it was very nice.

and if ya want to, you can upgrade the wood on certain series henry rifles to fancier grade for around $250...ready to bolt on and keep your old wood...tells how on the Henry website 0 -
A barrel band should never be anything but metal.
Even pot metal, but metal, PLEASE!0 -
I have the 44 mag it is a nice rifle and shoots good but I'm another one that prefers the loading gate 0 -
JMO, but that is some lame looking color case, I've seen better faked with cold blue. 0 -
Yeahl, Trumbull is a nice guy, but he really can't seem to get 'Old Winchester' coloring down. 0 -

To me it was more like they forgot something. Like the ones that don't have the hand guard.0 -
Turnbull is an artist. Too bad the way I use a lever, it would be rusted and pitted in short order 0 -

Agree, those are some odd looking guns..0 -
I like the tube loading design of the Henry's. Much easier than the side loading on the fingers. I have 2 Henry's, a Golden Boy .22 Mag and a steel frame 45-70 and 2 Rossi's, a .357 and a .44 Mag with loading gates. The Henry's are much easier to load. 0 -
I like the Long Ranger in 5.56. Best lefthanded bolt gun I have. 0
