The only thing you need to change for the burger is pulled possum shanks and that is heaven --)

Need some diced onions, salt/pepper, and put some tomato paste/ketchup on top towards the end. Everything else I do to mine. Sounds good.

Let us know how it turns out.

I always make mine with 50/50 mixture of ground beef or turkey and ground breakfast sausage along with some salt, pepper and garlic powder along with some diced onions and bell peppers, the breakfast sausage gives it that added flavor for goodness

Either that or I cut up some bacon into about one in. lengths and I mix that into it... Everything's better with bacon.[:p]

But I never will put a tomato glaze on it, why ruin it with a tomato glaze[xx(]

    Hey, I didn't say I cooked healthy. I just cook delicious...[:D]

Put Taco seasoning in your meatloaf sometime - Tacoloaf!

    Surprisingly delicious.

It came out great......you can tell its got stuffing in it because the stuffing seasoning is pretty much the only seasoning that is in it other than the gravy packet. Its not coming apart like I thought it would. I used the turkey version of stovetop, they have a chicken type too. I don't know how different it would be, but this is REALLY good.

I'm going to have to keep these things on hand because this was really easy.

I hated meatloaf for years. Because when I was a kid my Mom added celery, carrots and peas which I guess was OK. But she didn't cook them before mixing in and the meatloaf ended up with pockets of water and burger goo. I didn't find out until about 5 years ago that meatloaf wasn't supposed to be like that.

Meatloaf around here has plenty of chopped jalapenos and onions.
Really like the stuffing idea. Better than pieces of dried bread.

My wife does that. I've tried to talk her out of it, but she says "That's how my mom made it". Me, I use 2 to 1 ratio hamburger/breakfast sausage, an egg, and enough store bought Italian seasoned bread crumbs to make it stick together after I squish it all into a blob. And I never put tomato sauce/ketchup on the top.

They said 1 pound of burger 1 box of stovetop three eggs and one packet of brown gravy. I used 3 pound of hamburger and 2 boxes of stuffing two packs of brown gravy with 3 eggs and it seemed to be fine.

LF, if you read the labels and saw the sodium content in that gravy and stuffing, you'd be appalled. And you'd never make that again.

I bought one of those mini loaf pans and that way I can make meat loaf in single serve portions to save and also use different ingredients for each one.

What is funny is I read the labels on my dog food more than I do the labels for the family's food. (I should be ashamed)

    Best Ever Zesty Meatloaf Recipe

    2 pounds ground beef
    3 large eggs
    3 tablespoons butter
    1 purple onion, chopped
    1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
    1 orange bell pepper, chopped
    2 tablespoons minced garlic
    1#8260;2 cup ketchup
    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
    4 teaspoons hot sauce
    1#8260;2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Red River Ranch Original (https://kentrollins.com/shop-1/) or Salt and black pepper, to taste
    1#8260;3 cup milk
    1 to 1 1#8260;2 cups bread crumbs
    Honey Hot Sauce (below)
    Yellow onion, thickly sliced

    1. In a large bowl, mix the meat and eggs together with your hands. Set aside.

    2. In a cast iron skillet, melt the butter and cook the onion, peppers, and garlic over medium heat until tender, stirring occasionally.

    3. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire, horseradish, hot sauce, and cayenne (optional). Season with salt and pepper to taste and simmer for a few minutes to let the flavors combine. You may want to add more of the seasonings to your liking.

    4. Remove from the heat and let cool for about 5 minutes. Stir in the milk and slowly begin stirring in the bread crumbs until the mixture is like a thick paste.

    5. With your hands, gently begin mixing the pepper mixture into the meat until combined. You may want to add a few more bread crumbs at this point if the mixture is too wet.

    6. Divide the mixture in half and form 2 loaves for a quicker cook time. Place the sliced onion on the bottom or the Dutch oven (if cooking indoors, skip this step). Place the loaves on top of the onions ? or if cooking indoors see tip below.

    7. Spoon the honey sauce over the tops of the loaves and bake with coals or at 400 degrees F. for about 50 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through (internal temp about 160 degrees F). Serve hot.

    Honey Hot sauce

    1#8260;2 cup ketchup
    2 tablespoons honey
    1 1#8260;2 teaspoons hot sauce
    1 teaspoon prepared horseradish

In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients until smooth.

Tip: If cooking indoors, you can place the loaves on top of an upside down baking dish or plate that is placed on a baking sheet. This will help drain the grease while the meat loaves are baking.

I have always been a fan of simplicity.

For each pound of ground meat:

One cup bread or cracker crumbs
    One quarter cup minced onion
One quarter cup your favorite steak sauce (I use Heinz 57)
    One egg

Mix thoroughly with wet hands. Pack into greased baking pan or individual pans. Bake at 375?

To surprise your family with meat loaf, try this:
Put a row of peeled, hardboiled eggs inside!!
