1917 Enfield Bolt
I have two bolts, one a Winchester and one an Eddystone. I have had them for over 25 years. How can I tell if they are .30-06 or .303? I was restoring both the American and the English versions of the rife back when I bought them, and now am not sure which they fit.
Thanks

Compare the face of the bolt, with the one shown in the photo.

Mine looks just like the one in the photo, so I guess it's for the .30-06. I know the .30-60 is a rimless cartridge and the .303 has a rim a just didn't know what the face of the bolt looked like.
Thanks

take a fired 30/06 case and snap on the extractor, if it fits it's a 1917 bolt 0 -
If the bolts have the extractors, they are different, also. The one for the .303 is not full width while the .30/06 is. 0
